HANG ON DAVE

I have a little kitty, one which I named Dave
He reminded me of Letterman, so the name I gave

I love to jump into my car, and take a little ride
Fresh air from the windows down, and Dave right by my side

He has a funny way with things, that always makes me smile
Especially the look he gets, when traveling a while

I guess I shouldn't let him drink, from my cup of tea
All that caffeine gets to him, and then he has to pee

Although Dave doesn't say a word, I know with just a glance
When he starts to wiggle round, and do the pee-pee dance

He is very well house-trained, he's not being naughty
It's just the car that gets to him, and makes him need to potty

"Hang on Dave" I shout to him, "It's just a little more"
"Right up ahead you'll find relief, at the kitty litter store"

MARLYS, THIS IS TO CUTE AND FUNNY I LOVE THIS. WOW A CAT THAT WILL RIDE IN THE CAR, FOR REAL? HECK FIRE I'D BE AFRAID HE WOULD GO BESERK AND RIP THE HEAD LINER OUT OR CRAP ALL OVER THE PLACE. Well Brenda..I have had cats that like to ride but most hate it. Cat's like predictable situations so if they have ever been taken to a vet once....they will always think the car is bringing them back there again!! Mine ride with me, but the look on their face is always a bit worried..

MARLYS, THANKS FOR ANSWERING MY QUESTION. I SUPPOSE A CAT WOULD GET USE TO RIDING IN A CAR IF YOU TRAINED IT AS A KITTEN AND TOOK IT EVERY WHERE YOU WENT. I HAD A CAT JUMP IN A RENTAL TRUCK AT MY BROTHERS AND RODE TO LOUISVILLE, KY. AND FROM THERE TO NASHVILLE, TENN. AND WHEN THE DOOR OPEN THE CAT WAS A GONE CAT OVER THE HILLS OF TENN. HE FLEW. I THINK HIS TRAVELING DAYS WERE OVER. HE HAD ENOUGH. LOVE BRENDA

WHAT A TRIP YOU ARE, GIRL !! DAVE HAS TO BE LOTS OF FUN FOR YOU !! I USED TO HAVE A LARGE, LONG HAIRED DOMESTIC CAT THAT WALKED LIKE A RACOON !! HIS NAME WAS TIGGER AND I INHERITED HIM FROM MY DAUGHTER AT LESS THAN A YEAR, BECALUSE HE WAS A WINDOW SCREEN TEARER-OUTER AND SHE COULDN'T KEEP HIM SAFE. HE HAD BEEN DE-CLAWED, AND SHE WORRIED ABOUT HIS SAFETY OUTDOORS. WELL, THAT TIGGER CAT, WHO WAS A NASTY LITTLE NIPPER ( HE THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY) LIVED TO BE 11 YEARS OLD !! HE NEVER CARED FOR THE CAR, THO;UGH, NOT LIKE DAVE. TOO BAD, BECAUSE HE WOULD HAVE HAD LOTS OF ROAD TRIPS WSITH ME AND RANDY !!! BOY, COULD HE FILL UP A LITTERBOX, TOO...YIKES !! BIG CAT...BIG YOU-KNOW-WHATS !!!! LOL !!! CUTEST LI'L STORY I'VE READ IN A WHILE AND THANKS FOR THE SMILES !!
