Live Forever? Forever! How long will that be?
Will I still have my health and be able to see?
Forever? The thought, never entered my mind,
I checked all the calendars that date I can’t find.
It sounds really cool till you check out the facts,
There are some great things but a lot that it lacks.
Do I mark time by decades or keep track at all?
Will the years go by quickly, or do they just crawl?
This out lasting time holds such a deception.
In searching for answers I found trivial exceptions.
Just think of the funerals I would have to attend,
The birthdays and wedding gifts I feel I should send.
Retire? How can I, if I never get old?
I’ll out live the company’s they’ll close or be sold.
The more I explore my life on this earth.
Looking back to the past as far as my birth.
I’m blessed to have lived, to see each new day
And my goal is I try not to waste them away.
So no thanks to forever as I just can’t relate.
Thus I’ll age with my friends, trusting God for my fate.
