Yes, I have started a poem, that ended up in a
different direction.

lots of earthquakes over the yrs. Things fell of the wall & off shelves.
They don't bother me much.

have you ever been in a blizzard, and not been in a house or car?

Yes, I use to, now and then. I've eaten a blizzard or 2 also. I was also out in a real one when I was 12, I would have frozen to death if it hadn't been for my mom.

I was here for the 4 canes that hit us in 2004. For the last 2, the pennennesla I live on was susposto evacuate and my wife was working on mainland in a hospital that was under shut-down so she couldn't come home for 3 days and I didn't evacuate because there was no place to take the animals.

The first day of the evacuation (after all my neighbors left) I lost power (wouldn't get it back for 2 weeks). I recall the firetrucks going slowly down the street with the alarms on telling people about the evacuation but there was a good number of people who didn't have the extra 1000 dollars to go somewhere for 3 days so we all kept our flashlights off while the firetruck was going down the road.

After the 3rd day, they opened the bridges back up and people could come back home, my wife was never so happy to leave work. The winds were very strong at the height of the storm (around 80 mph) and my front porch is all glassed in so I could really get a good effect of being in the center of a tropical depression. Lucky, I live around 30 houses down from the beach and the people that got the most damage by far were those who lived near the ocean. We lost a few shingles and a basketball goal and our tree got trimmed but that was all.

That was an amazing story, did you write a poem about it? I am thankful God took care of you and your family.

I have not took one all the way across, only about
half way, I would say. Once from 29 Palms, Calif to Hobart, Okla.
Once to Killeen, Texas. And, one from Bakersfield, Calif. to Manhatten, Kanas. All my other trips were by car or train.
I love traveling by train.

So, have you ever went across by bus?

I have only ridden a school bus and a tour bus

The closest I have been to a huricane was right after Katrina, my daughter was married in Miami Nov.12th..One huricane had just gone through and another right after..she was lucky

Yes, when a dam above us broke because of too,
much rain. My oldest son, who was a teenager then, was riding his
motorcycle through the streets,, helping out stranded motorist. I have to wrap my distribtor in plastic to keep it from flooding out. The water was almost to the top of my car engine. Thankfully our house was up high, and did not get flooded, but a lot of peoples did. That was a long time ago.

I lived in my car once for 2 months when I was 18, during that time I slept about everywhere, in my car..on my car.. in an abandoned house.. in the weightroom of an apartment complex.. anywhere I could find a spot that no one would distrub me.

No, but I noticed at about 2 AM this morning that you have, and it was soooooo very well written, too. I was just too, tired at the time to comment on it. Hopefully I won't forget later today. I had a very long day yesterday, and expecting another one today.

Have you ever stayed in a homeless shelter?
(I did once, for two weeks, not from being homeless, but for safety reasons at the time.)

I have camped out with only a blanket..we were too poor to buy sleeping bags..it was summer so not too bad..where there's a will there's a way..poor mom had to wash all those blankets when we got home!

I have co-written a piece with a friend. We actually considered writing a movie script..we both had things come along where we couldn't write much so we abandoned the project..it was different

I have co-written something with someone before. Hmmmmmmm. I believe it was Daniel! LOL Loved it, loved it!!!

I've never developed my own pictures, but my husband has developed black and white film before. We used to have a dark room in our house when we first got married.
