In the early morning darkness,
The unrest strains each weary soul.
In the distance, the dawn is breaking,
And you can hear the trumpets blow.
The Mighty Army of our God,
Marches ready to meet their foe.
Just as He had long ago promised,
Today will bring VICTORY to all we know.
And I saw the heavens opened,
And behold a horse of white!
And He that sat upon him, was called Faithful and True,
And in righteousness, He has come to fight.
His eyes were as a flame of fire,
And on his head were many crowns.
And He had a name that was there written
And not one person could take Him down.
And He was clothed with a vesture,
Dipped in blood of purest red.
And his name is called the Word of God,
And all of Heaven bowed when this name was said.
And following behind Him were the armies of God,
That He brought with Him on that day.
They, too, all rode upon white horses,
And the sharp sword in His mouth, would lead the way.
Who was this shining Leader,
That kept them marching in one accord?
He was none other than the Son of God,
The King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
He did not come as the Lamb of God this time.
He came to rule the nations with a rod of iron.
There would be no mistaking His purpose today,
Because the day of His wrath, was coming down.
And I saw an angel standing in the sun,
And he cried to the fowls to prepare the feast.
They came invited into the midst of Heaven,
And there they were told to prepare to eat.
Then we saw the armies of the earth,
Gathered together and prepared to fight for gain.
But Jesus used the sword that proceeded from His mouth,
And one by one, the remnant were slain.
And the nations that stood against our God,
Were judged for the evil works like those who went before!
And the peace of Jesus will now reign forever,
And we will Praise Him in heaven forever more!
The Mighty Army of our Father, God,
Who marched right beside Him all the Way.
Now dismount and kneel beside their steed,
With Praise and Honor, they Proclaim the New Day!
