Meaning of Giving

Many months have passed,
and the year is almost gone,
The time has passed us by,
it didn't take so long.

Yes there were times,
when we shed a few sad tears.
This year was rather hard,
and revealing a few fears.

But as 2015,
soon comes to end,
We cannot harbor pain,
those wounds need to mend.

If we all do our share,
and give deep from our heart,
The sadness will pass,
and the healing will start.

However if hate
is just kept deep in our soul,
Our hearts will soon tarnish
and darken like mold.

This is the season
to be merry and smile,
To bring joy to the lonely
if just for a while.

Christmas means giving
to those who don't know,
Let our hearts be the light
that shines with a glow.

For if we give more
that what we just can,
We'll touch many hearts
all over the land.

And isn't that truly
what Christmas does mean,
To guide all those lost
and make their souls clean?

So if we can share
the Son our God gave,
We can prove to the world
that Jesus does save.
