It was the spring of our lives when we fell in love,
And it felt like we were soaring on the wings of a dove.
Everything was exciting and so brand new,
There never could be no one else for me but you.
And summer time came and our love was growing strong,
Perfect in every way I knew nothing could go wrong.
We were so very happy no worries or cares,
We talked for hours we had so much to share.
Fall was approaching bringing so many things,
We had children to raise and things started to change.
There were bills to pay and jobs needing done,
Our love just grew stronger for we truly were one.
Winter was approaching and the children were raised,
We both had grown older our love entered another phase.
Now just the two of us together again,
With love I’m so grateful to be with my best friend.
Holding hands as we walk or sitting in our favorite chairs,
Looking back at our lives we have so much we've shared.
Oh the seasons of our love filled with so many good things,
God is so good and I know we will have another spring.
