WHAT YOU FRIENDSHIP DOES FOR ME


Your friendship just picks me up
When I am feeling so very down
Your smile will brighten the way
When all I know to do is frown

Your friendship thrills my heart
Your love fills my heart with glee
Like a soft warm blanket of love
Your friendship wraps around me

*****

When I am feelings so very weak
Your love eases my lonely fears
You share your strength with me
Your friendship dries all my tears

*****

Your friendship causes my heart
To soar high above the mountain
For you bring out the best in me
You're refreshing like a fountain

*****

And I know that I have touched
Someone so full of God's grace
For you have touched my spirit
Ere I reach out to touch your face

*****

I know that our friendship
Will never, never perish
For you are my best friend
With you I feel so cherished

That's not fair Jan. You just wanted to make me cry, and most likely, everyone else as well. Well, that's what some just might do after reading this most awesome and beautiful poem. I am so blessed to be among such great Poets who place words so

lovingly in the correct order to create such a masterpiece

Who has come a long way ??? Who just started writing poetry ??? Who wasn't sure that she could ??? Hmmmm...methinks that was you, Jan !! Well, all I can say is you should get sick more often ( NOT !! ) to be able to create such lovely pieces as this right here...absolutely beautiful !! As soon as I read it , E-card screamed at me !! Congratulations, girl...you are now a full-fledged poet !!

Dear Jan,

I have to agree with all the rest here. You ARE NOT JUST A POET.....BUT A GREAT POET! Jeff would be so proud of you. You listened to him coax you on and it is amazing to see what you have done since then. You have done a great job with this lovely friendship poem.

Well, Steve, all 5 of you have made me cry. Thank you, one and all for your very kind praise. But, the real praise goes to my Lord Jesus, and all the wonderful people he has brought into my life. All the wonderful people who have helped cause me to feel this way. I thank God for each and everyone of you, my friends. You are each special to me, in your own specail way. I love you all.

HEY LINNER,

We are going to make Jan an official member of the "Tissue Box Club"! For some reason (???) I have been named the recipient of the "Most Runny Nose Award" for 2007. But, each of you can try to outdo me for next year's honors. Although, I have heard it said, that I am a "NATURAL" in this category!

OK, JAN, it is now official.......you AND SHIRLEY, TOO, are not official members of the Tissue Box Club! And, Linner, you are faking! I know for a fact that your nose DOES get just as runny as mine on ocassion! hee hee! In fact, you probably started the first original chapter of this very famous organization and may even be a former recipient of this pretigious award of which I hold the honors for this year meself!!!

As a matter of fact, methinks me saw your picture with your award plastered on a recent box of Wheaties........you know, the breakfast of Champions!! No need to be so shy about this........we know how much you don't want to be in the spotlight about such a high honor as this. BUT ALL TISSUE BOX MEMBERS NEED TO UNITE and pledge ourselves to be worthy of the title by which we are called.

EVERYONE READY??? TISSUES READY???? 1-2-3- BLOW!!!!!!!! Ok, sorry about that......I was a tad off key! I guess we need to practice......!

HEY LINNER.........Will you take over for a minute? I'm out of tissues .......again!!!!
