You Taught Me Well
Where has all that beauty gone
You'll not see any from dusk to dawn
Anything which has bloomed today
Soon will wither and die away.
You taught me well not to love again
With those deep secrets you held within
Holding me there under your spell
It is now I will always repel.
What is in man that you despise
Which makes you hide in disguise
Luring those from the opposite sex
I wander just who will become next.
There must be a reason why you hate
You do not care about any ones fate
But constantly dragging everything down
And coloring it with a distasteful brown.
I wish you had not crossed my path
Because now I am filled with wrath
Soon my heart will only die
It could not cope with you and your lie.
No longer having a peace of mind
Not trusting others that I might find
Another love that might be true
All because of the likes of you.
