Music—life's dance,
be it fast or slow—
we dance on a tight rope,
weaving to and fro.

As we dance time away,
music of middle-age grows,
gaining in perfect rhythm
as harmony in life flows.

Wildly dancing in our youth—
a time for rock, and bop,
but with time and age,
the fury comes to a stop.

Enjoying the dance of life,
discovering many tunes,
while life fades away
like shadows ‘cross the moon.

Memories in song may haunt
leaving hurt and sorrow,
but pondering life's music
brightens our tomorrows.

We may reminisce
while others become mute—
holding their past close,
declaring no tribute.

Those precious tunes of old,
like a yesteryear toy
spinning like a top—
life is music to enjoy.

DEAR EVA, THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMMENT. YES, IN OUR YOUTH WE RUN AND DANCE AS FAST AS WE CAN GO AND WITH TIME WE DO SLOW TO A MELODY THAT IS MORE RELAXED AND CALMING. GLAD YOU LIKED THE POEM AND THE PHOTO. GOD BLESS YOU. LOVE BRENDA

Brenda, I really think this is a great poem! You've done good girl! If I could only slide down that pole once more hee, hee!!!! Hopefully, you'll get a laugh out of my comment LOL! Or I could just sit on Snooch and fall off like I sometimes did and and pretend I'm flying!

THANKS KAREN, YES I GOT A LAUGH OUT OF YOUR COMMENT OF SLIDING DOWN THE POLE ONE MORE TIME. I'M HOPING WE CAN STILL RIDE OUR HORSES, WITH THE AID OF A STOOL TO STAND ON AND THROUGH OUR LEG OVER THEIR BACK. AND SOME SUEDE IN OUR RIDING PANTS WILL HELP US SIT A TIGHT SADDLE. GLAD YOU LIKE THIS POEM. MAY WE RIDE A FEW MORE HAPPY TRAILS. LOVE BRENDA

POKEY GLAD YOU ENJOYED MY POEM. YES, KAREN AND I BOTH WOULD HAVE TO HAVE SUEDE IN THE SEAT OF OUR PANTS AND DOWN THE SIDES OF BOTH LEGS TO STAY IN THE SADDLE NOW. BOTH OF US HAVEN'T RIDEN LATELY AND I'VE NOT BE ON MY HORSE BACK FOR THREE YEARS, I THINK KAREN RODE LAST YEAR. WE BOTH RIDE ENGLISH SADDLES, I GO FOR THE HUNT SEAT WITH KNEE ROLLS THAT HELPS YOU GRIP YOUR KNEES INTO THE HORSE AND A GREAT AID FOR BALANCE TOO. AND KAREN RIDES A FLAT SEAT ENGLISH SADDLE, WITH HIGH TOP HER HUNT BOOTS, WE ARE A PAIR OUT ON THE TRAIL. WE'VE BEEN CALLED BATMAN AND ROBIN BEFORE. KAREN IS SO FUNNY ABOUT HER SNOOCH SHE WOULD PUT A RED HOOD OVER SNOOCH EARS AND TASSLES HANG DOWN THE FRONT OF HIS FACE. TO KEEP THE HORSE FLYS FROM BITING HIS EARS AND NETS AND HERE I CAME WITH A ONE EYE WALKING HORSE FLYING IN A RACK LIKE BATMAN. WE COULD TELL YOU SO MANY HORSE STORIES YOU WOULD BE IN THE FLOOR LAUGHING YOUR SELF SILLY, POKEY! GOD BLESS YOU. LOVE BRENDA

OMG! We certainly could tell the tales.....I don't know if I would need suede now or not....you know me, I like to live dangerously and what's life but a great slicky slide with some rough spots thrown in for interest! However, I would be careful about my landing as I did crack my tailbone in my 40's from a slide!

   You gals are a mess! And snooch, those tailbone cracks hurt like the dickens, I've done that twice! I've not been on the back of a horse in about three years either, Brenda, and that time was in our neighbors yard, just to sit on it cause I wanted to. I'm not even sure I could get up in the saddle, heck, I have trouble anymore crawling up into the truck! Jeff has to help me most times, LOL..Old arthritis in my shoulders hinders me from even reaching for my seat belt too. Oh mercy, getting old is hilarious! As long as we can laugh, ladies, all is well with my soul! :D

KAREN, IF YOU EVER RODE WITH SUEDE IN THE SEAT OF YOUR RIDING PANTS YOU WOULD NEVER RIDE WITHOUT IT AGAIN . SAVES MANY A FALL. I'VE HAD ALL THE RISK I WANT IN LIFE. GIVE ME A GOOD BROKE HORSE AND HUNT SEAT SADDLE AND SUEDE IN THE SEAT OF MY PANTS AND I' READY TO ROMP. JUST THINKING ABOUT A RIDE IN THE FOREST REALLY STIMULATES MY ATTITUDE. LOVE BRENDA

POKEY DON'T FEEL BAD I HAVE TO HAVE A LEG UP OR FIND A STUMP OR LOG TO STAND ON TO GET IN THE SADDLE ALSO. YES, IT IS DIFFICULT TO GET IN PHILLIP'S TRUCK TOO, BUT I MANAGE AND SOMETIMES WITH HIS HELP TO. MY TRUCK ISN'T AS HIGH AS HIS. BUT I WANT SOME STEP RAILS FOR MY TRUCK WHICH ARE GREAT. TO VACUUM IS A REAL PAIN IN THE BACK AND MUSCLES OVER THE ENTIRE BODY. DANG THIS IS A REAL BUMMER.
