Perfect Christmas

Perfect Christmas

I have the tree, the tinsel, and I have the lights
A beautiful angel, with halo so bright
On every single branch, there are ornaments
Candy canes and silver bells dangle above the presents

Beautiful gifts, tied with ribbons and bows of satin
Piled high beneath the tree on a skirt of softest cotton
A little train circling around and around
With a sign on the boxcar reading North Pole bound

There's a wreath above the fireplace and one hung on the door
Christmas rugs of red and green, scattered on the floor
Candles burning brightly, upon the mantlepiece
Each one encircled by a tiny holly wreath

There's mistletoe in every arch, just waiting for a kiss
My Christmas is almost perfect, there's just one thing I miss
If I could have the one I love, wrapped in my arms just right
My Christmas would be perfect, with you on Christmas night

Very, very beautiful Deb. Kind of what Joyce was doing yesterday, putting up the tree and decorating the mantle with red candles. She does it all. I just stay out of the way. Wonderful poem. I certainly loved it. Later friend.
Live today as if it were your last, for tomorrow it will be your past, but live it with peace in mind, joy to find, and for God divine!

That's what we're going to do snuggle under the Christmas tree...

Awwwww Do ever lay on the floor and just look up at the tree? It's so pretty. I love to just sit and stare at the tree for hours and think....very relaxing!!!!

We used to, but about 5 years ago when someone robbed our house at the farm, They stole our Christmas tree trimmings and all, 40 yrs worth.... had a singing angel and trimmings that the kids had made through 12 yrs of school each. Kinda did in my Christmas spirit a little.....

Awwwwww I'm sorry! I don't understand how anyone could do something like that. That's a real shame! Tell the kids to get busy making more....grandkids too....lol.

They don't know that that was stolen too. We just let that go, or tried to. You wouldn't believe how much it hurt.....that was when we moved back into town.....I was afraid to stay there.

That's so sad. I don't blame you for moving. I know I can protect myself if I had to. I learned as a young pup how to shoot and use a knife. I can throw a knife with the best of them. That's something most girls don't get to learn....lol. My brother Farrell taught me. I got to be better than him. I still practice every so often. Can't let it slack off.
