Just as I was giving up on love
yes it is so very true
And was I giving up on hope
And then there was you

Just as I was down and out
And feeling so darned blue
All I had to do was turn around
And then there was you

Just as my world was shrinking
And friends was so very few
Then I looked all around me
And then there was you

Just as I thought
Things was meant that way too
I just had to open my eyes
And then there was you

Just as nothing was going right
And I needed a friend like you
All I had to do was pray
And then there was you

I had prayed for an angel
But had given up on that too
Before I could even picture it
And then there was you

Just when all else failed
And I was feeling so blue
I just close my eyes
And then there was you

Just as God made the heavens
And the skies so perfect blue
I prayed for someone to love me
And then there was you
