~ Treasures In My Heart ~

Deeply embedded from within -
This person of who I am,
A love so rich and so pure -
Is the keep place of a friend.

Not relenting to go it alone -
Or to forsake a friend in need,
It is a blessing that I cherish -
Is each friend God has sent to me.

Sharing joys and struggles too -
Basking in the sun so bright,
Frowns are replaced with eager smiles -
And held in place with such delight.

Walking together side by side -
Amid the storms that sometimes come,
Yet holding close a bond so rich -
Joyfully singing when day is done.

Hearts of comfort that take me in -
Energy of growth is always felt,
Giving as much as I can give -
And sharing it with other self’s

A new adventure comes each day -
And brings to life a brand new start,
For with a friend we both are graced -
Friends are treasures in my heart!
