I thought I knew what beauty was.
The soft perfection of a rose,
Petals of silk, kissed by the early dew.
The warmth of the morning sun,
The gentle shades of pink and blue.
A tender kiss to start the day.

I thought I Knew what happiness was.
The sound of a child’s laughter,
At a butterfly floating by.
A wish you make on a falling star.
As it shoots across the midnight sky.

I thought I knew what passion was.
The red and orange of the setting sun.
A fiery passion that lights the sky,
Just as the moon begins her gentle rise.
And cools the flames with silent serenity.

I thought I knew what love was.
Then I met you.

If there was ever a love poem that should be an ecard this is it!!! Wow I can't imagine how this made your hubby feel when he read it but It would bring this old fart to tears!!! Excellent is not a good enough word but I'm trying!!! God Bless You!!!

Well what on earth are you waiting for sis, show it to him!!!!! This is excellent! Any man or woman who is loved enough to have someone write something so beautiful and tender and touching has got to be the luckyest person on earth! Today's my anniversary and I didn't even get a card, got yelled at tho! :lol:

I've never had anyone care about me like this! Never, gee it must be so wonderful! I'm so happy for you honey! I love you!

WOW!!! Spirit Sis this one is truly MAGNIFICANT!!!! with each word you have written your love and passion for your husband comes out,He is a very lucky man to have such a loving woman by his side this one truly would make the most beautiful e-card. This is one of the best ones you have writtten even though all of your poetry is so beautiful and I enjoy reading everyone this one brought tears to my eyes and heart as I hope your husband has read it already and I know his heart felt every word and feeling from your own. Brilliant work, pure emotion and total love is what I read here. This is so close to perfection. Yes, I agree, this should definitely be an e card. It is of Hallmark quality. You touched many hearts with this, Donna, and I hope by now you have shown it to your husband and he grasps the total love deeply etched in each and every word.
