Elizabeth those jokes should cheer up that person needing to hear a happy joke. Long time friends are truly to have and they are able to make your day feel great. Well today a long time friend dropped by to visit with me for awhile and it certainly gave me a grand uplift. Continue to reach out to others and make new friends, as more the merrier.

There is nothing I would want more than to hear the voice of an old friend to cheer me up when I’m not feeling my best. When I was young, I heard the cheerful voice of friends almost every day. Now, old age, illiness, inability to either converse on the phone, or lack of free long distance calling, has kept my closest friends from calling. I miss the many times my oldest best friend would call and keep me laughing with her cheerful nature and great sense of humor. She’s no longer able to carry on a conversation, she’s losing her memory and sense of humor. There is another old friend whose voice I would like to hear again. Our last conversation in either 1957 or 1958 ended badly and we never talked again.

I was just thinking… could we consider a pet a best friend also??? How comforting it is to have my cat or dog settle in my lap and look at me with loving eyes when I am feeling blue and snuggle with me … Hmmmmmm just wondering. They have hearts, eyes, feelings, etc. just as we do don’t you think??? I really think so… Love them all.

Well, Danny, you got me looking closer to the picture…On the very left, on top of the dark “mountain”, I see a figure facing up with his right hand offering something to the Heavens… then further to the right there is galloping horse, and in the middle of the picture there is two people sitting down facing the sunset also.
No, I am quite sane… as you see everyone sees different things which makes life more interesting. Have fun… Hope you see them also.
