i am grateful to the Lord for giving me friends. but a special friend should always be cherish no matter what….. no matter how far a distance is as long as both of you have trusted in God and leave all things in His care, nothing to worry about. a good friend is honest and true all the time…..

Friends are our lifeline to happiness and strength. I have some the greatest life long friends the world can offer. They never let me down, they are always there when I need them most. Some friends come into your life like a ship in the night, only passing through, but the ones who proved the test of time are golden.

Good and sincere friends are indeed rare. If people, be relatives or others, need your help, they become friendly. Immediately thereafter, they dump you in dustbin. People now have become self-seekers, exploitative, opportunistic, sadistic, and do not mind if their actions or inactions are harming those who have reposed trust in them. We have acquintances only and most of those whom we consider ‘friends’ are ‘familiar strangers’.

I have a friend whose favorite flower is the sunflower. Sunflowers were something I saw alot as a child along the old country roads. When one friend left town, I made her lasagna and gave her a bunch of fresh sunflowers and then she made a sunflower pin for me to wear. One of my relatives died recently and my parents sent flowers. We got to see the flowers and they were sunflowers. I never would have thought about sending sunflowers. This was a beautiful arrangement and the girl may be a yankee now, but before she was a yankee, she was a southern belle and I just thought those bright yellow sunflowers were just the right thing to send. They spoke volumes with just a picture. Thank you for the beautiful card plus all the beautiful pictures of flowers.
