98-Year-Old World War II Vet Tears up When Navy Sailors Surprise Him with Song
Ernie served on the on the USS Missouri during WWII and witnessed the end of the historic war. Volunteers from the Battleship IOWA in California put together the event to him for his bravery and his service to the country. 24 chief selects stood in front of his California home and sang a Navy march song, ‘Anchors Aweigh’. Oh so sweet! My brother was also a Navy veteran. We should do more to honor our vets! My brother was a Vietnam vet and my boyfriend was an Army Airborne ranger. I am so proud of all of them, salute!!

Being a Navy Wave Petty Officer in the Vietnam era warmed my Heart and Soul too see Honor still bestowed today!

We enjoy the benefits of their labor. It’s wonderful to see faces of those that sacrificed, that put their lives on the line for our freedom. God bless America and may we be grateful and pray for them if nothing else.

What a heart warming story. There is so much in this world that is so horrible and to hear people that are challenging us to better things it really does the heart good. Thank you so much. I know there are good things happening in this world of ours but we hardly ever get to see or hear it. Thanks again………………..
