When you read these words,
chances are I’ll be sitting here
thinking of you…
as I so often do.
I’ll probably be smiling
one of those smiles that I always do
when thoughts of you come my way.
When you read these few words,
I hope you’ll think,
just for a moment,
how much you mean to me,
and how much you always will.
And when you continue on with things
you need to be doing in your day,
smile a smile for me, and remember
that I’ll be thinking of you still.

This is a gorgeous romantic poem. It is a shame the person I loved in my younger life could not have expressed these feelings then when I really needed them, loving them so, instead of breaking my heart and trust repeatedly. Thank goodness I am with someone who respects and adores me now these autumn years. If you are out there, thank you for the beautiful sentiment. Not being loved as I desired made a much stronger person, that I recognize now what true love is. A person who truly loves you, cannot go through life without you. You are a counterpart to their soul and existence.It is just that simple. They don’t let you go, they don’t put you aside for a later date. You are their universe. All of my family are married to people from HS and a young age. Today are still as inseparable as they were back then. They have raised their families, seen their successes but that love is stronger, more bonded than ever. It is amazing to visit with them because they still never take their eyes off one another, sitting embraced side by side. That is true love and God is a big part of it.

Very true indeed, if you love someone, you just couldn’t let it go, that’s how i felt. I couldn’t go thru life w/o him.
