May you always be reaching a little bit higher
As to greater heights in your life you aspire.
And may you be steadfast and honest and strong,
And not be afraid to admit when you’re wrong.
May you earn the blessings this life can afford,
May you always live in the Love of the Lord.
May hope grow within you, your faith become firm,
As you benefit from all the lessons you learn.
May shadows not linger, and darkness of night
Be lifted, because you walk in the Lord’s Light.
May joy be your portion, and rainbows abound,
As you pass on the Light and the Love you have found.
May you always remember the power of prayer,
And because your Lord loves you, He always is there.
So may you, my dear friend, as sands of time run
Continue the journey your soul has begun.
May peace be within you, your cup overflow,
As closer to God in your spirit you grow.
