Patsy Cline – Crazy
“Crazy” is a ballad composed by Willie Nelson. It has been recorded by several artists, most notably by Patsy Cline, whose version was a #2 country hit in 1962. Partly due to the genre-blending nature of the song, it has been covered by dozens of artists in several genres over the years; nevertheless, the song remains inextricably linked with Cline. Nelson’s own version appears on his 1962 debut album …And Then I Wrote. What did you think? Please tell us in the comment section below and remember to sign up for our free newsletter.

A real classic, of course. I had forgotten Willie Nelson wrote the song. Beautifully done. So sorry for your losses, Doris. God Bless you.

One of my favorites, too. I am soon to be 85 & still love to ballroom dance……..just missing 3 of my best partners who are now deceased. I was married to 2 of them (23yrs. each) & the last one was just a guy that I loved so much. He shot him self as the pain from his cancer was too much to live with. Cancer is so terrible. I only wish I could have been there to help him more.

Now I learned something knew, as I didn’t know Willie Nelson wrote that song. Yes Patsy Cline certainly sang it from the heart. This is certainly one that I enjoyed ballroom dancing to with my loving husband many years ago. May GODS Angels continue to watch over all of you forever, is my prayer.

ANITA, both you and Richard are right about Patsy Cline. I listened to her records all the time. I still have some of her old records along with Elvis Presley’s and many more famous singers back in the 60’s. Most are the 33 rpm. I had an old record player, but the needle got misplaced somehow. I can play them again, since a replicate of the old record player was made. I just recently found out about it. They were probably made years back but I had never seen one until lately. Some of my records are very old because I was not familiar with the singers. I know God loves all of them just like he loves all of us. May God watch over you always. God loves you and I love you.
Love- Mary

Addie I enjoyed your comment immensely and the name your husband and you used when singing duets “The Love Notes’ My husband had a beautiful tenor voice and could remember the words of song great, but I was kind just so singing lead. We sang many hymns together, at church for many years when we were young. May GODs angels continue to watch over you forever, is my prayer.

I simply love Patsy Cline songs, used to sing them all the time when my husband was alive, & we sang duets. We called ourselves “the Love Notes”. Sung for several years in Vero Beach area. Loved doing it, & loved to sing Patsy’s songs. Still have sound system & sing at home for fun.

I love this song. It takes me back to my young days. Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson has alway been my favorite singers. By the way I am a Nelson. Willie has to be a family member somewhere down the line. He looks just like my brothers. From a family of 23 brothers and sisters there is a very good chance he is a family member. He truly does look like my brother, Melvin Nelson. I sure would like to know for sure. I really love Country Music.
