I was not born in the 1920’s. What I learned from that time came from my parent’s. I would have enjoyed things back then, but to hear some of the times my dad talked about was not so good. Otherwise I would have enjoyed living back in the 20’s. But in the 50’s & 60’s we were big farmers. We had cotton, corn, peanuts, potatoes, and just about every vegetables there were. Most families now would not raise things like we did. I enjoyed my time as a farmer. I am happy for all who enjoyed the 20’s. May God be with you all. Bless Annabel and Mary Frances. I pray God will bless you both and give you many more happy years on this Earth of God’s Creation. Love – Mary
Mary Frances, I was also born in 1924. I’m still here at 90 years. Of course I was too young to remember much of the 20s. The music with the video is for the Charleston (dance). My mother told me that my teenage aunt taught me to do the Charleston when I was three years old. I don’t remember that but I don’t remember when I could not dance either.
I think it must have been great to live in those times but like one commenter wrote it all ended with the crash in 1929 but look how nice the people dressed and compare with what we see today.
Enjoyed this and for a change was easy to view,my Mother was born in 1924 but passed by the time she was 46 🙁
What a difference in the times of today, oh my gosh !!!
Wow!! Except for the difference in clothing worn I don’t see a lot of difference in then and now. Looks to me like morals just as ran low, people were subjected to unnecessary scrutiny by the moral police, (then again if this hadn’t happened they might be going to the beach wearing not much of anything like they do today) I was fascinated by the “Women’s Car”
