A Preschool Housed Completely Within a Retirement Home
Present Perfect explores the very real experience of aging in America- both growing up, and growing old. It was filmed in a preschool housed completely within a retirement home, powerfully capturing the subtleties and complexities of the young children’s interactions with the elderly residents, while challenging us to consider what we’re doing- and what we’re not- to prepare future generations for what’s to come. What a wonderful (small) world. I wish I could live long enough to see them grown up to make the world different.

I cried throughout this video. I love the elderly. I was a CNA for 27 years and the elderly were my passion. This video touched my heart. Thank you!

There should be more of this because so many young children do not have the chance to interact with their Grandparents and so many things are lost of years gone by.

The opportunity ‘to contribute to the lives of others’ is something that is often lost when seniors move into Long Term Care. Programs such as this are a reminder that it Doesn’t Have To Be That Way.
