Everybody’s Somebody’s Fool – Connie Francis
“Everybody’s Somebody’s Fool” is a popular song recorded by American singer Connie Francis. It was released in 1960 and became one of her signature songs, reaching the top of the charts in the United States and several other countries. The song was written by Howard Greenfield and Jack Keller and produced by Joe Sherman.
The lyrics of “Everybody’s Somebody’s Fool” tell the story of a person who falls in love with someone who doesn’t reciprocate their feelings. The protagonist sings about the pain of being in love with someone who only sees them as a fool. Despite knowing that they are being used and taken advantage of, they continue to hope for a change and hold on to their love.
Connie Francis’ heartfelt and emotional rendition of the song resonated with listeners, and her powerful vocals brought the lyrics to life. Her performance captured the vulnerability and heartache expressed in the song, making it relatable to many people. The combination of Francis’ talent and the well-crafted songwriting contributed to the success of “Everybody’s Somebody’s Fool.”
The song was a major hit for Connie Francis, becoming her first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also reached the top of the charts in several other countries, including Canada and Australia. “Everybody’s Somebody’s Fool” helped establish Connie Francis as a prominent figure in the music industry and remains one of her most recognized songs.
Over the course of her career, Connie Francis achieved great success with numerous other hit songs, such as “Who’s Sorry Now,” “Lipstick on Your Collar,” and “Where the Boys Are.” She is regarded as one of the most successful female vocalists of the 1950s and 1960s, and her contributions to the pop and adult contemporary genres have left a lasting impact on the music industry.
Although “Everybody’s Somebody’s Fool” was released over six decades ago, the song continues to be cherished by fans of Connie Francis and fans of classic pop music. Its timeless themes of unrequited love and vulnerability have allowed it to resonate with audiences across generations, ensuring its enduring popularity.

The “old” songs had heart and meaning to them… Wouldn’t it be great if the songs of today had heart and
meaning to them instead of screaming and disgusting language ??? Perhaps this would then be a better
and compassionate world… I dearly hope so…
