I am almost 84 (Feb 11th) & remember those years when things were so simple & people seemed so friendly. Where did it all go? What happened? I think it’s too much technology………although I love the computer, but hate the new phones. I do use a cell phone only because my son gave it to me & pays for it……….he lives in another state. I’m thankful for some things……..like the TV……..it’s company for me. Would like to email any of you as I do get lonely.

I was in my late teens back then and owned a 57 Chevy. I was having the time of my life and I wish that life was as simple and enjoyable now as it was then.

The statue of “Bob’s Big Boy”. Had a counter part on the West Coast. Anyone know what his name was?
Today it would be said as politely incorrect. The statue was black, and his name was “Sambo”. Sambo’s didn’t make it past 1978. No one then protested the restaurant. One location I belive was 4 or 5 blocks from Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. Now taken over by White Castles.

Absolutely fantastic. I loved those cars, they do not make them like that any more which is a shame. The gentleman is right, we do eed to preserve these things as it is a time that should never be forgotten. I love the reporter and his wife also they are just wonderful. What a wonderful era, I am so lucky to have been born in that time frame, loved it and bring it back I reckon. Thank you so much for sharing and God Bless you.

This gentleman has created a collectors dream. I may just have to take a trip to see this with my own eyes. Good job and beautifully displayed. Thanks for sharing this!
