“Sea of Love” is a song written by Philip Baptiste (better known as Phil Phillips) and George Khoury. Phillips’ 1959 recording of the song peaked at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard R&B chart and No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.[1] It became a gold record. Nancy you said it all! Such a simple, but wonderful song that one could understand, loved it. Sorry, too, that he had no other hits. Enjoyed this one. Think I will listen again!

I have always loved this song. Wonder why all the songs now days have to be head banging noise! We had the best music I think when You could understand the words and there was a nice beat without the yelling and screaming that seems to come with the music now days. Thank you for the sweet song.

I remember this song like it was yesterday . I was 19 years old when this song came out . It was a beautiful song . To bad Phil never had another hit . This song brings back some beautiful memories , thanks .
