Mary, heartfelt condolences. I can only imagine how hard it is to lose your mate. I have not had to deal with that yet but I am sure in my heart, it is one of the hardest things we can live through. God is always with you and your husband will live through you and your heart.
I have loved Kenny since the first time I saw him perform and he was with his group still back then.

I have always loved this song and I am very sentimental about it because of the way I learned it. I was a Music Teacher in a Caribbean Island and one of my students taught it to me. This happened very many years ago and I am still crazy about the song.

I Love this song, and love Kenny Rogers . This brought many tears, I just lost my husband of 56 years less then two weeks ago.

Mary, my heart goes out to you. This was a special song my husband and I loved. Kenny does it best and the two gentlemen who wrote the words…..beautiful. Listen to this and any other songs you and your husband enjoyed. You will shed many tears, but he will be close to you. Lost my husband of 59 years, five years ago. He is still close by.
