I also had a spouse that passed away on February 2nd, 2011. He was a Preacher. He really love the Lord!!! He was 73 when he passed away. HE SURE DID NOT LOOK OR ACT HIS AGE AND THAT WAS GREAT! He believed in taking vitamins and fish oil and trying to eat right. I sure was shocked when he passed away though! I WITNESSED IT HAPPENING MYSELF!! IT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE THE PAST YEAR WITHOUT HIM IN MY LIFE WITH ME. BUT I DO KNOW THAT IT’S ONLY HIS BODY THAT DIED…NOT HIS SPIRIT. HIS SPIRIT IS WITH THE LORD. HE TOLD ME MANY TIMES THAT IDF HE PASSED AWAY BEFORE I DID THAT HE WOULD MEET ME AT THE EASTERN GATES WHEN I DIE. HIS LOVE IS WITH ME FOREVER!!!! HE IS LIKE I AM IN BELIEVING THAT WHEN A PERSON DIES THEIR LOVE DOES NOT DIE FOR YOU. IT STILL LIVES. I LOOK FORWARD TO BEING WITH MY HUSBAND AGAIN FOR ETERNITY. I LOVE HIM SO VERY MUCH.

This was a beautiful poem speaking so well of the beauty of love as fulfulling of one’s entire being…I once had that love and it lasts for a lifetime even after he went to his heavenly home leaving me behind. I miss him but realize that I was blessed to have such a love for even just a time. I continue on active with family and friends but memories linger of how it once had been. I enjoyed reading your comment here. Sometimes the right person, is a person who has been around in your life. A friend of mine divorced after raising her children. She dated through networks and through friends, was connected with a lovely business man who had a sickly wife he cared for til her death, years before and was single. They met and fell in love. It turns out that he attended 4th of July celebrations and was in all of her pictures throughout her life. Some things are just destiny. God knows what we need. He sends messages as well sometimes in dreams that may be most unexpected. Take it slow and easy and before you know it, the right person shall come into your life. Stop searching. What is yours shall know your face. Stay happy, take good care of yourself and that energy will transcend a very positive message with lots of energy and success. God bless you! All good things are worth waiting for.

I have to believe that since there is a God who orders our foot steps in His timing…that there is still a chance for me to find the love of my life, even this late in the game. All my life I hoped to meet the right one for me. When I finally found someone I truly loved, it was too late. After we moved away, I spent my time away from home, shopping, etc., looking for his face in the crowd, his car or anything else that reminded me of him. (This was hopeless because we were living over 1,000 miles apart!) I was lonely and missing him, as well as everyone else from my past, and hoping against hope to see him or talk to him again. It just wasn’t meant to be. Knowing myself better now, than I did then, I realize that he didn’t need me in his life. We were never lovers but have remained friends. So, I count my blessings for the Intenet and the freedom it gives me to keep in touch with him every day. Our friendship has become a long-distance romance between myself, disabled by a crippling injury and this wonderful man, who is also a shut-in, living in an assisted living facility.
