A Special Friendship
Hearts can reach across a lifetime
Sharing hopes and dreams and fears,
Special friendships growing closer
With the passing of the years.
Special people who walk with me
On my winding lifetime road,
Thank you for the friendship offered,
How you’ve helped to ease my load.
When I look back on my lifetime,
Reminiscing times gone by,
I’ll remember, oh so clearly,
Friends forever, you and I.
Memories cement a friendship,
Moments shared surround my mind,
Giving my life depth and meaning
Of a truly blessed kind.

This poems certainly fits a long time friendship with my youngest daughter’s mother-in-law. She and I met before our children married one another and we i certainly have appreciated her closeness over the years that both of us have been widows. We certainly have leaned on one another for comforting words.
