Enormous Sequoia Trees (22 pics)
These giant redwood trees grow to an average height of 60 meters but can actually reach heights of over 100 meters.
“Hyperion”, the tallest redwood, is 115.5 meters tall and can be found in the Redwood National Park near San Francisco.
Interestingly, a subspecies of this group does not grow as tall but instead expands in width, growing very large diameter shafts. “General Sherman” is the widest of this subspecies with a diameter or 11.1 meters.

I always loved trees, just imagine if the tree could tell you all of the happenings around them and the people,
animals, etc. that it has seen… what an intelligent and wise conversation you would have… just imagine…

There was a sample of a cross-section of Sequoia wood at Sage Hall, YSFES in New Haven, CT, where the birth of Christ, discovery of America, and other significant dates (years) were indicated. I first saw the large wood sample in 1963.

Saw these trees in 1968, but can’t tell if they
have grown any. How could you possibly tell?
They’re just as beautiful now as they were then.

So this is where these trees come from. California and in the dreams of Isabelo C Mangaya-ay How lucky you are, our most beautiful tree here are the Blue Spruce in Pennsylvania. But I can appreciate and love God’s beauty all over the world.
