A Mother’s Love
[slideshow id=7]
“Do you like my dress?” she asked of a passing stranger.
“My mommy made it just for me.” She said with a tear in her eye.
“Well, I think it’s very pretty, so tell me little one, why are you crying?”
With a quiver in her voice the little girl answered.
“After Mommy made me this dress, she had to go away.”
“Well, now,” said the lady, “with a little girl like you waiting for her, I’m sure she’ll be right back.”
“No ma’am, you don’t understand,” said the child through her tears, “my Daddy said that she’s up in heaven now with Grandfather.”
Finally the woman realized what the child meant, and why she was crying. Kneeling down she gently cradled the child in her arms and together they cried for the mommy that was gone.
Then suddenly the little girl did something that the woman thought was a bit strange. She stopped crying, stepped back from the woman and began to sing.
She sang so softly that it was almost a whisper. It was the sweetest sound the woman had ever heard, almost like the song of a very small bird.
After the child stopped singing she explained to the lady, “My mommy used to sing that song to me before she went away, and she made me promise to sing it whenever I started crying and it would make me stop.”
“See,” she exclaimed, “it did, and now my eyes are dry!”
As the woman turned to go, the little girl grabbed her sleeve, “Lady, can you stay just a minute? I want to show you something.”
“Of course,” she answered, “what do you want me to see?”
Pointing to a spot on her dress, she said, “Right here is where my Mommy kissed my dress, and here,” pointing to another spot, “and here is another kiss, and here, and here,”
“Mommy said that she put all those kisses on my dress so that I would have her kisses for every boo-boo that made me cry.”
Then the lady realized that she wasn’t just looking at a dress, no, she was looking at a Mother… Who knew that she was going away and would not be there to kiss away the hurts that she knew her daughter would get.
So she took all the love she had for her beautiful little girl and put them into this dress, that her child now so proudly wore.
She no longer saw a little girl in a simple dress.
She saw a child wrapped…in her Mother’s love.

That was truly a very touching inspiring message, as there is nothing as loving, as a mother’s love for their child. This brought joy to me and peace to my heart. I had a very loving, caring and kind mother. I strived to be the same with my two daughters.

They say “The Paradise is under the feet of our Mothers!” which means it’s very crucial to treat our Mothers very tenderly, gently with great love, deep respect never saying painful words or venting one’s splin on them; we ought to help, support, be patient all our life. They r sacred people. We just in our busy life…full of different problems that carry us away tend to forget all these essencial things.
They do so much 4 us, they r ready to sacrifice all themselves so that we could have certain things, so that we could be happy, safe and sound!
The above-mentioned little story is very though-provoking, heart-warming! It teaches and shows a lot!!! After reading it one needs no explanations, no comments. It’s so simple but so important. One should appreciate, love, respect, cherish, help his Mother while she is by his side in this life. Tell them “I Love U, Mom! Kiss them, cruddle them more often, tell all the important words U gotta tell. Each painful, unpleasant word of yours is like a knife into their heart, yes, they try not to show their tears, their scruples suppressing them inside them.
They R AMAZING, WONDERFUL, THE MOST BEAUTIFUL, THE MOST PRECIOUS PEOPLE IN THE WORLD. WE Can’t measure their LOVE, The LOVE TOWARDs their child…….

This is so beautiful and tears are flowing so hard that I am having a hard time seeing what I’m typing. With serious health problems, I am writing notes and leaving little things for each my children and grandchildren for them to know that I will always be there for them. I tell them that I will always be just a “touch” away, the little wisp of a flutter on their face in times of happiness or sadness will be the touch and kiss by me and many other little things that will remind them that I am with them every second of their lives. I will never really be “gone”. I have always lived and breathed for my children. They are my life and will be from the OTHER SIDE, also.

Hre’s a ‘HUG OF APPRECIATION, from at least ‘oNEJUST FOR YOU, PUBLISHERS OF ‘NETHUGS’.
This is the First place, I visit each morning ( or any other time of the day or night (IF I CAN’T SLEEP) for ‘although YOU might tell me, it’s just the rambling mind of a lonely feeling sorry for herself , 87 year old woman —well, in case this is your kind of thinking, you have never been more wrong.
This lady just happens to be ‘ONE’ of the I hope ‘trillions’? of other MOTHERS, who, actually feel the way that ‘I’ do.
That it’s because of the LOVE AND DEVOTION, THAT SHE””ME” I” IS SHOWN FROM, her ‘3 children, also ‘their’ spouse not just on special occaions ‘like MOTHER’S DAY’ but each DAY, THAT THE LORD BLESSES HER TO SEE.
Thanks,for reading.

While reading thise very touching story, I being a victim of having lost a loving mom, felt my Mom’s love all over. A Mom’s love stays with us forever and never dies. May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us (especially our mothers)forever and ever.

This is beautiful. My mother passed away 2 years ago. I still miss her. I know she will be with God someday and we will all be together. She will be mad at all the tears we cried. Her faith was strong and she passed it on to her children.I Will never forget her and we will miss her till we meet again.
Thank You Mom

this is my first Mother’s day that my mama is in heaven and I know
just how this little angel feels. I keep a few of my Mothers
dresses in my closet and so I will go now and hug her dresses and
close my eyes while I wait for her to talk to me as I cry.I know
she will comfort me as always. Thank you for adding to the blessings.

Such a wonder-filled story putting me to tears. I can feel how the little girl missed her MOM so dearly. How lucky she was with a MOM who will find things work out be it today or tomorrow with or without her, for a MOM to get out of her way just to get something for her LITTLE GIRL. How GREAT the MOM is for in the future the little girl will be a MOM one day also to teach her little girl HOW WONDERFUL LIFE IS with GOD. Happy MOTHER’S DAY to all MOMs in the world. Mom not only literally MOM but also a Lady BOSS who has to put the office in tune with what is expected of them… I SALUTE ALL MOMS…

It was the most moving story I have heard for a long time. It reminds us of God’love which is unconditional and our Mothers’ Love for her children comes so close to this kind of love. I thank the Lord for all Mothers specially those who suffer so much as they do they best to bring up their little ones in the fear and love of God. If only we could capture this kind of thankless giving what a wonderful world we would have. God Bless You specially in highlighting the sacrifices and love of a Mother for her little child.

This reminds me of my daughter who passed away on Jan. 30th of 2008. She knew she was going to die! She left 6 children who ranged in ages of 28 to 16. She was only 42 at the time of her death and I miss her so very much. She was my only daughter and we did everything together. But, now she is with Jesus and my dad who passed away in Oct. of 2008 and looking down and saying to me “Don’t worry about me” I don’t hurt anymore and I’m not sad anymore. I know she is waiting for me when God gets ready for me.
This card is so beautiful!
