I noticed that everybody walked along and it looked like nobody got mad if you were in there way.
The women walked just like the ladies now a days with the short skirts.

What a trip back in time…..I so enjoyed this!!! I have been around for 87 years……my how things have changed. I am so thankful to have been born in the 30’s….I have experienced the best of times.
Visited NYC twice…..graduation trip and later in years revisited.
Thank you for the opportunity.

The women’s attire was the best birth control device back then. I don’t think sound movies were invented yet so all the sound effects on the film are bogus. I did enjoy it though.

Sound was first introduced to film in 1927….this film was made in 1911 so the sound must have been added later but very realistically….I enjoyed this film immensely and would love to see more like it ….I took particular notice of how well and respectfully everyone was dressed…..I’m afraid I was born in the wrong era

Fascinating insight. People appeared to be so distinguished and well attired, and had a disregard of the traffic.
Thank you for sharing this interesting video.

INTERESTING VIDEO. WOULD HAVE LOVED TO KNOW WHERE THE PLACES VIEWED WERE. I ONLY RECOGNIZED THE FLAT IRON BUILDING. DON’T THINK THE BRIDGE WAS THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE. VERY FEW CARS AROUND. DON’T KNOW WHEN THE MODEL T CAME OUT.

Great pictures. I was raised in NYC and some things are familiar such as the Brooklyn Bridge and the Flatiron Building. Odd that I didn’t see one man without a hat, but I guess that was the way it was back then.
