Abandoned Town of Humberstone (33 pics)
Humberstone is an abandoned saltpeter refinery located in the Atacama Desert in the Region of Tarapacá in northern Chile. In 1970, after becoming ghost town, it was declared national monument and opened to tourism. In 2005 it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

I think it was very interesting to see something like this. I suppose there are ghost towns in the US that maybe has never been found, or was never checked on. There was quite a few things that looked new, although there was age on them, but all in all, it was quite interesting to see such a place. I would go there, if ever was in the area. Thank you for posting this.

It is a strange site to see and hard to believe but some day this will probably be
what this country will look like, time isn`t forever in this world as we call it.
