The single was Reeves’ fifth posthumous release to reach number one on the U.S. country music chart. “Blue Side of Lonesome” stayed at number one for a single week and spent a total of nineteen weeks on the chart. Thanks to his past recordings, Jim Reeves’ voice will always be with us and we can continue to enjoy this man’s gift of a great voice and singing style. He sang with such emotion and feeling. RIP, Jim, always.
