This is my parents music. And I also enjoyed the Big Bands. And the Andrew Sisters. And this song was in a movie with Abbott & Costello. Buck Private.

This song as a little before my time, I listened to my mother play it on our Victoria…so it brought back olden, Golden moments!!

A number of musicals made during WWII featured the Andrews Sisters, along with the popular bands of the era.
These come up every once in a while on TCM.

I was born in the early 40’s and have always had a soft spot for many of the songs of that era. An older sister of mine played the piano and did a pretty good job playing the war songs. This song by the Andrew Sisters was one that I remember well and really liked; I have also wondered who was the great horn player?!

The Andrews Sisters carried a style that started perhaps with the Boswells. Who was the trumpeter on this recording? He gets no credit as far as I know. Might be Mannie Klein, who has an in-demand player in those days.

I REMEMBER THE ‘ANDREW SISTERS’ WELL. THEY WERE VERY POPULAR DURING THE
WAR YEARS THE THE 40’S. BRINGS BACK GREAT MEMORIES.
