Like a Bridge over Troubled Waters, Jesus Christ is our bridge over the troubled waters of our lives. For He laid down His bruised body upon the rough wood of the cross, to calm the waters. Upon the cross he broke the chains of our bondage, He broke the shackles of our sins, broken by His precious blood. Now free, yes we are free, we are free at last. Each wound, each precious drop of His blood turned back the tide of our sins, yes to recede, to drown us no more. Now, sinners no more, for we have claimed the victory through Jesus Christ our Bridge. The waters calm now, the way to our father, our salvation straight, no more stumbling blocks for we are free. Our eternal life now and forever secured by precious blood. How still now the waters. He laid down for us, Jesus Christ our victory, precious blood atoning, O Bridge over troubled waters, now calm.
