Comfort Zone
[slideshow id=26]
I used to have a comfort zone where I knew I wouldn’t fail.
The same four walls and busywork were really more like jail.
I longed so much to do the things I’d never done before,
But stayed inside my comfort zone and paced the same old floor.
I said it didn’t matter that I wasn’t doing much.
I said I didn’t care for things like commission checks and such.
I claimed to be so busy with the things inside the zone,
But deep inside I longed for something special of my own.
I couldn’t let my life go by just watching others win.
I held my breath; I stepped outside and let the change begin.
I took a step and with new strength I’d never felt before,
I kissed my comfort zone goodbye and closed and locked the door.
If you’re in a comfort zone, afraid to venture out,
Remember that all winners were at one time filled with doubt.
A step or two and words of praise can make your dreams come true.
Reach for your future with a smile; success is there for you!

Well done. A message that many of us could take to heart and not be afraid to” step out of the boat” and find that with faith and trust anything is possible.

I am retired now and it is so easy to do nothing and sit and read or go on the computer…zzzzz
I got disgusted with myself and joined a bowling league and sing in the church choir… I also do a lot
of sewing, write poetry, and meditate (which I needed.) I bake and do a small amount of gardening.
My daughter and her husband take me to auctions, plays, and do you know, I really have fun going
there… Am glad that the LORD woke me up… GOD BLESS…

Sister Tracey I agree with ever word you have said in your comment. I sent my loving husband to eternity nearly 32 years ago and OUR SAVIOR comforted me and I found the peace I needed then and it has lasted, which I am truly thankful for to this very day. I never wanted another man in my life, as my husband was such a grand person that I would of compared someone else to, which would of been very unfair to him. EB, Pam and Anita listen to our Sister Tracey, as she has certainly given you precious advice Love and GODS Blessings, To All of My Brothers and sisters in CHIRST Anita May God keep all of you in HIS Loving Care and HIS Angels to watch over all of you, is my prayer.

TO EB, PAM, AND ANITA, MY NAME IS SISTER TRACEY…I GOT YOUR MESSAGES IN MY INBOX TODAY AND MY HEART GOES OUT TO ALL THREE OF YOU. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE BEEN WITH MY HUSBAND FOR 16 YEARS, IT HAS NOT ALWAYS BEEN EASY FOR US WITH THE UPS & DOWNS. WE RECENTLY WENT THROUGH A STORM THAT COULD HAVE ENDED MY MARRIAGE BUT BY THE GRACE OF GOD WE SURVIVE IT AND GOD IS RESTORING THE LOVE & APPRECIATION WE TOOK FOR GRANTED. THE REASON I’M SAHRING THIS WITH YOU IS BECAUSE HOWEVER IT COULD HAVE WENT, I KNEW THAT I HAD TO RELY ON GOD FOR STRENGTH BECAUSE WITHOUT HIM, NOTHING OR NO ONE CAN FILL THAT VOID. GOING THROUGH THE PAIN I WENT THROUGH IN THIS STORM SHOWED ME THAT ONLY GOD CAN SATISFY THE LONELINESS WE MAY FEEL AT TIMES. WHEN I GOT TO THE POINT OF REALIZING HAD NOT ME AND MY HUSBAND STAYED TOGETHER, I KNEW I HAD TO GO ON IN LIFE WITH THE LORD BY MY SIDE. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN HARD BUT JESUS TELLS US HE WOULD “NEVER LEAVE US NOR FORSAKE US”….NO ONE PERSON CAN EVER FILL THAT VOID LIKE GOD CAN. HE CREATED A SPIRIT WITHIN US TO LONG FOR WHAT WE THINK IS SOMEONE OR SOMETHING ONLY TO COME TO THE POINT THAT NO MATTER WHAT WE TRY TO FILL OUR LIFE WITH, WILL NEVER GIVE US THE PEACE & JOY & CONTENTMENT WE NEED IN LIFE. I LOVE MY HUSBAND AND TRYING TO APPRECIATE HIM MORE BUT HE COULD NEVER GIVE ME WHAT WOULD MAKE ME COMPLETE LIKE GOD CAN. AND THIS IS WHAT GOD WANTS TO BE IN EACH OF YOUR LIVES, HE LOVES ALL THREE OF YOU SO MUCH AND WANTS YOUR LIFE TO HAVE PURPOSE, TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THIS WORLD AND IN YOUR FAMILIES. ALL THREE OF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO OFFER AND IF IT MEANS COMING OUT OF THE COMFORT ZONE THEN MAY GOD’S PLAN FOR EACH OF YOU BE FILLFULLING IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY WITH OR WITHOUT SOMEONE IN YOUR LIFE. GOD BLESS ALL THREE OF YOU, IF YOU WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KEEP IN TOUCH PLEASE DO SO AND THANK YOU SANDY FOR POSTING THAT SCRIPTURE, IT’S VERY ENCOURAGING TO ALL OF US. FROM SISTER TRACEY:)

PAM & ANITA,
SORRY TO HEAR THAT YOU HAVE LOSSES IN YOUR LIFE. I WAS WITH A GUY FOR XX YEARS AND HE MARRIED A GIRL (SHE WAS 10YEARS OLDER THAN OUR SON WAS) AND NOW HE IS DIVORCED. WE JUST LIVED TOGETHER AND I TREATED HIM WELL. WE WERE NOT MARRIED, BUT I DID EVERYTHING FOR THIS GUY WITHOUT BEING WHAT TO DO. SHE WOULD NOT COOK, CLEAN HOUSE, OR DO HIS LAUNDRY. i DID ALL THAT FOR HIM OUT OF LOVE. OUR SON WAS XX YEARS OLD WHEN THIS HAPPENED AND IT WAS 2003.
I TOOK ME A LONG TIME TO GET HIM AND HAVE A NEW MAN IN MY LIFE. WE TALK EVERY NIGHT ON THE INTERNET. EVEN IF HE’S TIRED WE DO CHAT. HE MAKES TIME FOR ME AS I DO FOR HIM. WE MET ON ANOTHER SITE 2 YEARS COMING MAY. HE’S ALWAYS THERE FOR ME EVEN IF I’M 🙁
I DO WISH FOR MUCH HAPPINESS IN THE FUTURE FOR YOU BOTH. MAYBE AS TIME GOES ON; I MIGHT FIND A MAN THAT WANTS TO BE WITH YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE. I WILL KEEP YOU BOTH IN MY PRAYERS, TAKE CARE, AND MAYBE WE CAN KEEP IN TOUCH IF YOU WANT TO.
Sandy.

THANK YOU NETHUGS FOR YOUR INSPIRING POEMS (SMILE) I JUST SENT THIS ONE TO MY HUSBAND OF 16 YEARS TO ENCOURAGE HIM IN WHATEVER PLAN GOD HAS FOR HIS LIFE. IF IN SOME AREAS OF LIFE WE ALL FAIL AT TIMES, IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO IMPROVE NO MATTER WHAT AGE YOU ARE. FOR WITH GOD THERE’S “ALWAYS” HOPE FOR CHANGE. SINCERELY A FAN OF NETHUGS, FROM SISTER TRACEY 🙂

Pam I know how you feel, as that is what I felt like after using my husban 29 years ago. I was only sixty at the time and thankful that I had a job to go to every day. We just need to continue to move forward and realize that GOD is always there to guide us daily. Really never thought about finding another man to feel my life, as I have beautiful memories to carry me through, plus two daughter, three grandsons, one granddaughter, four great grandons and three great-granddaughters. Life has been very good to me and I find that stepping out of a comfort zone and look more adventerous things is very fulfilling.

I TEND TO DO THIS ALOT SINCE MY HUSBAND PASSED AND MY HEALTH SEEMS TO BE GETTING WORTH AND I TRY TO GET ALL THESE TEST, AND I HAVE MOST NOW TO ONLY FIND OUT I HAVE TO TAKE THESE TREATMENTS THAT MIGHT OR WILL MAKE ME SICK, I FEEL I MUST TRY, BUT INSIDE MY SOUL I FEEL I HAVE LIVED WITH THEM SO LONG, SHPULD I JUST BARE THE PAIN AND LIVE AS LONG AS I CAN, OR SHOULD I MAKE MYSELF TRY THESE’S TREATMENTS, I KEEP PUTTING THEM OFF, FINDING SOME ONE WHO WANTS ME IN THERE LIFE AND THEY NOTHING MUCHABOUT ME BEING SICK, WOULD BE UNFAIR TO THEM TO KEE IT ALL TO MYSEFT, BUT IF THEY KNEW THEY WOULD NOT WANT ME ANYMORE AND I HAVE LEFT AS IS SOR NOW FOR THEY AREN’T HERE WITH ME YET BUT ARE COMMING TO SEE ME, THEN I KNOW, I WILL TELL THEM THEN THEY WILL GO, AND I AM SO LONELY BUT WHO WANTS SOMEONE HAS A BURDEN TO THEM , WHEN THEY CAN HAVE OR MEET SOMEONE ELSE AND BE HAPPY.I THANK YOU FATHER FOR YOUR HELP AND GUIDIANCE AND FOR BEING HONEST AND YOUR LOVE AND ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME IN JESUS NAMW I THANK YOU, AMEN AND AMEN

Nothing is permanent in this world! Comfort Zone is not a permanent one till the end! All have to reach out and explore new pastures for change and confidence will build up so. Attachment to safe situation can be overcome!

EXPLORE…DREAM… DISCOVER
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do
than by the things you did…

Sail away from the safe harbor,
Catch the trade winds in your sails.

Trust GOD…take GOD’s hand…venture out…smile…and the cloud of doubt goes away…you will meet new people who were hoping to meet someone like you and become friends…after you have done this…you wonder why you didn’t do this before. I know sometimes I would rather be in the comfortr zone, but venture out, do it anyway…You can be in your comfort zone later. Have you ever been stuck in the comfort zone too ???
Blessings…Elizabeth W.

Wow, profound. Needed to hear this one. It’s so true to over come the injustices in life and to leave the pain behind is huge, but self fulfilling, if one is brave enough to venture on.

Thank you so much for the comforting poem… I feel that it was written just for me.
I cried when reading it as it fits me to a “T.” All my life I have been dominated and fearful
to try anything new, afraid that I would fail and be embarrassed. When I was complimented
I didn’t believe them. I then thought, fear is the failure of your faith and I indeed have a good
solid faith. Your poem brought forth the courage that I had inside me all along. It feels like
freedom !!! Thank you so much for all of your beautiful poems, etc. GOD bless you !!!

So Beautiful, So Peaceful, So Sweet, and So Wonderful and Awesome is Love and Gods Love!!!
Thanks so much for such inspiring and touching card of words, scenery and music.
In this great big world of so much confusion, corruption at times is when we bow our heads and kneel and say a prayer to God, and ask Him for help and the strength, courage we as humans do not have but He does. He gives us the strength and courage to step out and do not fear my child is what Our Heavenly Father tells us His children, for I am with you always and will protect the Righteous (My Children) from the evil ones.
God lives in all of us who allow Him in from the Sunshine of life, which the enemies would love to keep us in darkness, despair and depression!
God Is The Answer Always no matter the problems we face here in this evil world!
God will never abandon His children who seek Him, and go to Him for Help and be patient for Gods time is not our time, and He always does things in His time, and for all who love Him, Honor Him, Respect Him, Fear Him, and Obey Him, and in due season/time our prayers are answered and God is of Truth!
I know myself, I do not know or have the answers but God does for He Is The Master Of all things and Creation.:)

The timing of receiving “Comfort Zone” was perfect in that my hope is that God is leading a friend out of his comfort zone. Life difficulties can be the space within four walls – a lonely place to be. I believe there are angels among us – you were guided to share the message. Thank you.
