Billie, one of the consummate vocal jazz instruments including Fitzgerald, Vaughan, O’Day and Connor, was always surrounded by the very best of jazz sidemen and women. Such FINE music !! Although her unfortunate personal proclivities seriously shortened her prime time, while she was at her best there was no greater to be heard.
