Being on the Bitburg Air Force Base during the Cold War on the border with East Germany with a group of F-15 fighter pilots made me more aware of the great seal of the United States and of the words and symbols. I have come from a military family but I was not aware until I met with these men and women and talk to tell their stories or at least part of them. My husband was Air Force – 28 years total. Later he taught law enforcement on several military bases in Germany through our local community college, for a year and a half. Bitburg was the first base we were assigned to. The last being Ramstein. It was an amazing learning experience, for us and our two teenage daughters. So proud of all who work to keep us safe. This was an outstanding video.
