Flooded Salt Flats Look Like Giant Mirror
A drone captured extraordinary images of a flooded salt desert which reflected the sky’s colours. The footage was taken last summer by filmmaker Stefano Tiozzo in the Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt desert, in Bolivia. The Salar, which measures 10,582 square kilometres, was flooded with shallow waters from the rains that had hit the region and reflected the sky’s blue. According to Stefano, being in the middle of the stunning scenery felt like standing on top of a huge horizontal mirror framed by the mountains in the distance. What did you think?
