During my stay in the Navy, I was assigned to a ship stationed in Sardinia. I would get up around 5:00 A.M. and put an eight track tape of Ray Price into the eight track player that was in the Chief’s mess hall. That tape would play over and over until someone would turn it off around 11:00 P.M.. This routine went on for weeks, if not months. I loved to hear him sing then as well as now. “For The Good Times” Is one of my favorite sons that Ray Price recorded.

Love his wonderful voice, sing one of his very best songs. Lots of good memories.

I sat with Ray in a little tavern, in Louisville, KY back during yesteryear, and he sang this song for me on a little stage, and the crowd went wild. All of the tables were taken, but he let me sit with him. And since then I have been a huge fan of Mr. Price!
And this one of my all-time favorite songs!!
