I must be “nuts” as I am 82 years old and still feel like I am 45 years old … I am no dummy and I know that
I cannot do things as fast as before, but I am still bowling, walking, and singing in the church choir, took up
computering (my family said, go for it.)…etc. I have my faith which is probably why I try to do things
anyway… think happy, be happy…think well, be well…think good thoughts, have good thoughts… etc.
Of course I have my “bad” days, but most of all… I am blessed by GOD…
Keep smiling… Elizabeth W.
Dear Elizabeth, I’m so sorry I missed your lovely message last year! Thinking about my old friends, places I’ve lived, my children when they were growing up and all the activities we shared, etc. helps to make my dreams fun since they are based on my life as a child, teenager and young mother. Fortunately, none of the bad experiences I’ve had are reflected in my dreams!! I wake up feeling good and looking forward to today.
Remembering the things I did in the past still works for me. When I dream, I dream of myself as a young woman living in the northeast where I grew up and spent most of my life before retirement.
MS. SHEILLA ROSE…
What a great idea you have…remembering the things you did when younger before going to sleep at night…
I shall try that tonight after my prayers… after pushing out the worry thoughts into oblivion…eternally…
I am in my 80’s and still bowl and having fun with my husband… Way to go girl !!!
Blessings… Elizabeth W.
nice message indeed. i do remember my younger years and it’s wonderful to reminisce them from time to time. they are our guide in our tomorrow’s journey to life…..
Blessings to you J.G. Daniel – YOU have FAITH !!
from Elizabeth Kubler-Ross — “People are like stained glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the
sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed
only if there is a light from within.”
I see there are a lot more women leaving comments than men. Come onguys, things are not that bad. I had a steroke in 2003, surgery for Lung cancer in 2009, a heart attack last year. The Lord has been more than gracious and good to me. If he brings you too it he will bring you through i
I’M FOREVER YOUNG IN MY DREAMS AND I’M FOREVER YOUNG IN MY HEART TOO. HOWEVER, PHYSICALLY, I’M FALLING APART BUT AS LONG AS MY MIND CONTINUES TO THINK YOUNG, I’LL WILL BE ABLE TO ENDURE THE BAD DAYS AND LOOK FORWARD TO TOMORROW, NEXT MONTH, NEXT YEAR…
MY SUBCONSCIOUS TAKES ME BACK TO MY YOUNGER DAYS WHEN I WAS ABLE-BODIED, PRODUCTIVE AND ENJOYING LIFE. WHEN I FALL ASLEEP, I ALWAYS HAVE A LOVELY DREAM IN WHICH I’M YOUNG AGAIN AND DOING ALL THE THINGS I DID IN THE PAST. THIS HAPPENS ABOUT 3 OR 4 TIMES IN EVERY 24 HOUR PERIOD. (IT’S DUE TO MY MEDICATION WHICH MAKES ME SLEEPY.) BEFORE I AWAKE, I HAVE ONE OF THOSE LOVELY DREAMS. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I DON’T WAKE UP GRUMPY. QUITE THE CONTRARY, I AWAKE FEELING AS THOUGH I’VE BEEN ON VACATION!
Forever Young
After these beautiful words I shall try to grow old gracefully and be”Forever Young”
no matter what falls in my path.To have courage to face every day occurrences and
to not worry, but still to wonder about each moment and to enjoy the game of life.
Thanks to the writer for these most comforting words.
Wonderful…very nice…
We are forever youg as long as we keep the connexion with God…
We can be forever…young…as forever young our friendhip is.
Thank you!
I don’t want to ever grow old. You are as young as you feel in your heart, soul and mind!! Some days can be very overwhelming, challenging, painful and darn right desperate. It is healthier and a proven fact that you should smile rather than to frown. Smile and everyone smiles around you including my pets. My Grandmother once told me don’t ever loose faith; when there is too much problems to handle take them off your shoulder and hand them to God as he will never give you more than you can over come. Tomorrow is a new day and life is too short so see how you feel later or tomorrow so never forget to be young and happy.
Yes, very true… I have known some people with LOTS of trouble and wondered how they can endure it and still smile and be cheerful… I admire them… They have FAITH and never give up. GOD bless them.
Have you ever noticed that when you smile you feel good immediately??? And when you smile at someone else their faces light up also ??? Try it… it works…
Do not fear… GOD is here… I am smiling writing this, giving it to you… enjoy !
Blessings… Elizabeth W.
