DOG WATCHING

DOG WATCHING

I’m sitting here in my computer chair,
Trying to write a poem.
My attention, though, is scattered.
‘cause this is what I’m knowing.

You can’t write poems in this way,
In which I’m trying to do it.
This little soul has eyes on me,
Don’t think I can get through it.

She sits right here beside me,
And I’ve gained a new respect.
For patience…oh, it’s not for me
But for dogs who feel neglect !!

You see, my neighbor’s dog is here,
Her Mommy’s out of town.
Have you ever seen a furry face,
Wearing a doggy frown ?

It seems I’m not good at my job,
Of doing what I should.
The look on her face seems to say,
I’m trying to be good.

If you would just leave from your chair,
And take me for my walk,
I wouldn’t sit here with a stare,
I wouldn’t sit and gawk !

So, friends, I have to end this poem,
To help this little cutie.
I’ve got to go out on a roam,
So she can do her duty !

Dedicated to all dog sitters !!

Linner: Isn't it just amazin' how a little doggie (or even a big doggie) can communicate with their eyes without a whine or a bark and it is up to us humans to decipher what they be sayin'. Glad to see another new write and just keep 'em comin'. Our love, KayD and RogerP

Linda,
My doggie can just look at me and I know the little dog is either wanting something or trying to tell me something with her eyes or bark.
That's what I love about my doggie.
They give so much love in return my friend.I love this write... :D
I thank you for this lovely write Linda :D

Well I think it is a most beautiful little dog. I'll trade our dumb cat Daisy for this dog any day. Problem with this, she does her duty in some no so allowed places, and does that ever tick Joyce off. Oh, I also love the poem Lindy. GLYASDI

Such a cute poem, Linda. And my, what a sweet looking little dog. Dogs can be so much fun. They are great company.
They provide so much love and joy. I so enjoy doggy sitting for my son's little Princess. She is so sweet.

Love and Hugs, Jan ))(( )))(((

Thank you for sharing your lovely poem you have penned here, is very nice.....My dogs are all gone now, wont get another, wouldnt be fair as I more and likely would leave them much to soon and the attachments which are so binding that comes with the daily companionship would be pain loss for the dog...I still miss my Kaylee Ann minature american husky...Starvin' Marvin
