Grow Old With Me
Grow old with me, my darling stay
Beside me as we walk our way
Through life’s uncertainties. Be my light
Through stormy days and dark of night.
You are my half, you make me whole,
You are the mirror of my soul.
Without you, life would make no sense.
Between us there is no pretense.
You know my thoughts before I speak.
You lend me strength when I am weak.
You tell me things I need to hear.
And, even then, you hold me dear.
Grow old with me, my darling stay.
I need you more and more each day.
Grow old with me, my heart implores.
We’ll live in love forevermore.

Would that my love could have grown old with me! God did not see fit and took him to glory to be with him. I still miss and long for his presence but know that God knows best. I do have a companion most dear, my Savior, who is always here to guide and sustain me when I fall if on him I call. Loved this beutiful poem. 🙂 Jane

Sixty four years ago, I looked up and saw my future husband…somehow we just clicked, but went slowly in dating for two years… This year will be 59 years of marriage… Ups and downs, but leveling out in the end.
Never wanting anyone else, we are still in love, “quiet love” in our senior years you might say. hee hee.
I still listen for the key in the door when he comes home… We have three wonderful children and two grandchildren. Thank you GOD for letting us grow old together… We are truly blessed by GOD, and so are you.
I LOVE YOU BILL. Blessings… Elizabeth W.

Anyuta…B., Please be open minded to tell the truth.’Jaisi kerni waisi bharni’…SO U R THE ONE WHO IS A COWARD.HOW CAN I SAY THAT U R NOT AROUND ME EVERYWEHRE LIKE A ROAD FLOWER ON THE STREET WHICH GROWS WITHOUT A SPECIAL CARE?Take it easy my so called fellow reader for this web.So tell me who r u? and what kerniwali baat? Since myself is talking directly to u n asking so do not act like a worst enemy. As sure..u might be a just little clown of the fake circus which has been played by my Ex…who is a typical garbage Indian..not the one who is real like myself has ben n still proud to be known as an INDIAN..UNLIKE U OR OTHERS.So tell me….r u at my side or torchering me..like other bas…?that a man has a all reserve rights for BS. N WOMAN HAS TO SHED TEARS SO ANOTHER MAN CAN TAKE DISADVANTAGE.Understand?Do not ignore this as yesterday God has rewarded me as ususal.I need to know kernibharniwali baat.n how u got this web?how much u get paid for all this?if I have misunderstanding than tell me.I love comments also as well as real praising too.Because I never say I am the GOD OF EVERYONE AS LOT GARBAGE PEOPLE R BARKING HERE WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING ME OR MYSELF.

and our reflection will beam unto eternity, my Darling.
The stars come nightly to the sky, the tide wave unto the sea,
Nor time,
Nor space,
Nor deep,
Nor high,
shall keep my own away from me. from the poem, “Waiting”

the tear drops of my heart fill my soul with sadness, for i once knew a couple who loved each other that much and planned on growing old together as this were meant to be, Helen n Jim were their names, with so much to gain. they were childhood sweethearts till the end. this is the way it’s suppose to be.not the violence and shame of todays world. when a man loves a women theirs nothing he would not do.. come on ladies, listen to the song…it tells no lies ! listen to your hearts with your brain..1 hurt can be a mistake, but 2nd 1 is not. love like you’ve never loved before. look inside i’s heart and soul for that is what your gonna love much more later in yrs.. this poem was so delicate,of being 1 not 2,of 2hearts that take their love with them.. that never ends !

I am old in years but young and still looking for a man that will love me and we will grow old together…strong love much stronger than any force and sturdy than any Giant Redwoods of this picture…but the poem and picture are good match indeed

You’ve paired Janet’s peom with a great picture. This looks like the Giant Redwoods of Kings Canyon, California. If one were to look up the history of these trees; their longjevity and the rigors of development… They might appreciate the paring of “Picture of Life+Poem of Love.”
Thank You for putting them together in such a beautifl way.
