This was so beautiful and serene. It reminds me of things my mother told me about her growing up in Henderson County,Tn.Her dad was a farmer. Her favoprite thing to do was to dry the Apricots. They would load the wagon and head into town to buy and sell. The dances were held in “THE SHADY HILL COMMUNITY” center.By week day it was a 2 room school house(SHE TAUGHT THERE),on saturday nights they held dances,on Sunday they held church. And until 1980 they even voted there. The old school is still standing among almost grown trees, brush & thorns.Inside that old building it looks as tho the Rapture took place.Benches are lined against the walls, dishes are still in a dry sink.I wish I had some way of getting those pictures to you.
