I Said a Prayer

I said a prayer for you today
And I know God must have heard –
I felt the answer in my heart
Although He spoke no word.
I didn’t ask for wealth or fame –
(I knew you wouldn’t mind)-
I asked him to send treasures
Of a far more lasting kind!
I asked that He’d be near you
At the start of each new day
To grant you health and blessings
And friends to share your way.
I asked for happiness for you
In all things great and small,
But it was for His loving care
I prayed the most of all.

Jackie I agree fully with what Lina said. I do not try to understand GOD for I am no god. I accept what the LORD prepares for me without asking questions. I am so sorry to hear about your husband. Have faith in the LORD. I keep you both in my daily prayers.

Jackie..I’m so sorry to hear that! Have faith and totally trust in the Lord, remember one thing, if He brings you to it, He will most certainly bring you “Through” it. Be strong! My thoughts and prayers are with you!

I am losing my husband of 37 yrs to cancer. If not for the prayers on our behalf form al our friends and family I don’t know how I would get through this . When I get down I know the Lord will be there to pick me up and when I get angry this is happening to us I know he understands and forgives me.

I loved this prayer you sent at the right time since I am still having a hard time with Camden’s (my 5yr old grandson) death. I have tried to go on with my life because of Clayton (my other grandson who is eight) Camden passed away a year ago March22,2009. It seems like yesterday. Thank you for the prayer. Thank God that we can always come and talk to Him through prayer, and He always to talk to us by reading His Word. The greatest things in this world is when the Lord by his mercy and grace open our hearts and mind to know that He is God, the creator of all things.
