Love this singer. I saw him the first time he was on TV, attended concerts with him and June Carter, Luther, etc. Got his autograph and shook hands with him and June, Luther, and the other bands at that concert. Wow. loved it.

Wow, Barbara, what a wonderful and memorable experience you had. Love all his great music (Man in Black a favorite). Two wonderful things happened in 1956 – my marriage and this song!

Good memories, Patty. And, Patricia, I don’t even listen to the radio anymore for exactly the reason you mentioned. Just can’t understand what passes for music these days. Make that two country girls!

i agree with all the above. The older songs made more sense and were a joy to listen to. I’ve got a lot of them and play them when the radio is blaring out something I can’t figure what they are talking about. Sorry. Just an old country gal.

A song that “is” Johnny Cash. One of a kind. His music is as good today as it was then. Thanks for the memories.

back in the 1980 I went to see Johnny Cash in Baltimore ,Md . and the electric cord that he was using
shorted out on the chair he was using to prop up his foot and he said they are trying to kill old JOHNNIE .
They never did show that on any one of hos shows on tv and they were tapeing that show.
but he went on with the show and it was very good
