There will never be another Elvis W/his passion for gospel, inspirational songs. He sang for others who needed to hear his words. His voice was that of an Angel! So miss his recordings and his sence of humor! Thanks NetHugs for sharing Elvis heart-felt song of longing.

“… Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:3-4 (The Bible, NIV version)
Someday this dream will come true. “For whom so ever believes…”

Sherry, I’m sorry that your husband died and yes, if John loved Elvis so much, I know he would appreciate your thoughtfulness. I’m sure that, with Elvis’ love for Jesus, he’s in Heaven. I just prayed that your beloved John is with him now.
With my heartfelt sympathy for this evening, for tomorrow and for always, Lea xo

I think this song is so powerful…and the way Elvis sings it you have to watch his passion for the song. Outside of his gospel I think this is a universal and powerful song.
Makes my cry sometimes….

Walter Earl Brown wrote a fabulous song and Elvis was at his best when he sang it. Dr. King would have been very proud of the words but I think ashamed we haven’t come very far in answering the message given.

Elvis had roots in country, named rock a Billy. Maybe that is why you liked him and now like country?

I really liked Elvis’s singing and he was reported to be kind also… If it wasn’t for those ##%$$ drugs, he would
still be singing for us… Bless you Elvis, I still enjoy your singing…

Elvis Presley is and was the greatest inspirational singer of my day and time. I love this song. I pray that he made it to the other side of this life (eternity) with open arms from our Lord and Savior.
