Really grateful for you taking the time to present this goldmine, but. . . . . . . . that is the problem with our world as it is today. Everything – – is so hurried up! Somehow? Just dwell a little longer on the pictures. Please!

Me too Annie Kerr it was just as good then in the U.K IN THE LAND THAT MADE ME ME,, BUT NOW I’m in lovely Australia and so glad to be here and have been since I was 28 but way back then life was good in the 40 s now I’m almost 72 and if we don’t look to hard its still good God is still watching out for us as he always has and will, may our faith continue to be unbreakable and unshakable

These days were the greatest of all generations. How blessed I was to be born in the 40s

Loved hearing and seeing everything of the good ol’ days and sure wish things would be like that yet. The world was
much better than and everyone got along and were so kind, helpful, full of fun and one could really relax and you could
laugh. I don’t think God intended the world to get the way it is today.

Loved hearing it all said, and knew it was true, as I grew up then – and life was not easy, but we all made do, and if others needed help we all chipped in to help out. Im so glad I grew up then, and my kids just made it in that time. Wish we could go back to them when kids played out doors, with no phone stuck to their ears, and lived at home. It was the BEST OF TIMES, and it was great – wish everyone could experience those times. They were GREAT!

Those days were so much more fun and relaxing than what they are today. Wish we could get them back as I think things would be better all around.

Very nostalgic. I agree withe old values being brought back in these times. It is almost taken for granted that the “Wheel” was not invented. Bring back the old time days of being there for one another.

I agree with Running Doe, bring those days back! It was a time when we all got along and helping someone out that needed a hand, was second nature to us. A time when we had respect for everyone, I don’t think we even knew what “BAD ATTITUDE” meant. Families made time for getting together on a creek bank with so much food to share and cheerful attitudes. We caught up with Aunts, Uncles and cousins we only saw once a year, what a day we had. Family was so important then and I really miss that comradeship we shared. I think I am a very lucky person to have been born in the forties and I will always cherish those beautiful memories.

dont we wished we could go back to those days, everything was simple, and not hard and dirty like things of today,
