Too often we don’t realize
what we have until it is gone;
Too often we wait too late to say
“I’m sorry – I was wrong.”
Sometimes it seems we hurt the ones
we hold dearest to our hearts;
And we allow foolish things
to tear our lives apart.
Far too many times we let
unimportant things into our minds;
And then it’s usually too late
to see what made us blind.
So be sure that you let people know
how much they mean to you;
Take that time to say the words
before your time is through.
Be sure that you appreciate
everything you’ve got
And be thankful for the
Little things in life
that mean a lot.

obviously like your website however you need to test the spelling on quite a few of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling problems and I in finding it very troublesome to inform the truth however I will surely come again again.

Elizabeth M. Wright… You’re a HYPOCRITE!
Don’t say what you don’t mean.. I remember about 2 months ago someone who comes to this site had poured their heart to you about their mom passing away, and you never bothered to offer your condolences, or give her some comfort!!

Dear friends:
Just know that I’m back from the hospital and still doing rehabilitation from two knee replacements on January 3, 2013. I ask that you keep me in your prayers, as I have felt a great deal of comfort, love and support while I was in the hospital for one month. Complications set in on other medical issues. Just getting back into being able to walk, slowly and with pain. Can’t get out of any chair unless someone is here with me. The pain is still excruciating, so the prayers are necessary. My intentions are good to want and pray, but the medication is stronger then the intentions…I sleep a great deal until the pain wakes me into screams in the middle of the night. But just to let you know I’m back, but can’t write much as can’t sit long. Know that I appreciate those of you that kept in touch, and those that didn’t don’t feel bad, you probably didn’t know. I still love all of you. Stay blessed and God bless you all

ALWAYS say “I love you” whether on the phone, in person, by email or by letter. You know that there is
all kinds of love, family, friends, animals, strangers, etc. GOD is wonderful, GOD is Love…
It costs nothing to say it, and it just might be the thing that the other person needs… Besides, you will
feel fine after saying it. GOD BLESS I love you friend and stranger…

To: Ifeanyi…I’m sorry to learn of the running issue with your older brother who has turned his back on those that love him and chooses to live like a hermit. I have a half sister that hasn’t spoken to any family members since 1966. I know where she lives, but she has such hatred for the entire family, she doesn’t live like a hermit, but has cut herself off from the family. She has this belief in her mind that she should have been treated differently, better, then all of us. She might have PTSS (Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome) from something in her past, because to be honest with you and the posters here, I came from a very dysfunctional family. I have tried in so many ways to change the way they live and to be better in my thoughts and actions then my family was/is. I don’t bother with my family as well, for many reasons. Wish I could share with you what they did to me, but I just pray for them and me. I have forgiven them for all they have done to me, but its best that we stay away. Perhaps your brother is finding peace within himself by living like a hermit. Something may have been said or done to him as a child that hurt or destroyed him deeply, and your family is unaware of what they may have said or done. I’ll keep all of you in my prayers, that I do promise you. Remember, it takes courage to say “I’m sorry” and it takes courage to come back to those that you love or that love you. If you talk to him on the phone, perhaps gently you might ask him why he doesn’t want to be back with the family. If I can help, please feel free to ask. Have a beautiful day!
Ifeanyi

Lola you are a very brave woman. We all have fallen short of the glory of God. The prayer of St Francis of Assis amongst other prayers should always encourage us all to be instrument of God’s peace. I have a running issue with my older brother who has turned his back on those who love him and chose to live like a hermit. He has not spoken with his aged mother and his siblins for over five years and nobody knows where he lives in Lagos save for his mobile phone. I take comfort in your sharing your experience.

Friendship love is sweeter than a fragrant peach hanging on the vine….that’s all I really ever wanted in the first place. So ‘friend’ since you read my letter, what did you think of it? You are very very smart person… Should I send it?

There is something that I do everyday. I’m Roman Catholic, and I have very powerful novena’s (prayers for those of you that don’t know what novena’s are.) That being said, these prayers take me 1 1/2 to 1 hr. and 45 minutes to say everyday, and in these prayers I include praying for all my enemies, as well as my family, relatives and friends and those that I may have hurt unknowingly. We all have to answer to God in the end, and I want to be the best person I can be, but I need to pray for guidance from our Heavenly Father to do this. We all need to pray to Our Heavenly Father everyday and ask for the guidance to find in our hearts to forgive those that have hurt us, destroyed us in some way. And before my husband died (and we were only married three years), he cheated on me. It destroyed our marriage, but as he lay dying, I told him that I forgave him. I never left his side during the time of his three month of a horrendous illness and death unexpectedly. And I’m grateful that I did forgive him and told him so. He died in peace knowing that I forgave him. And I find comfort in that, and I miss him terribly. Every time I pray , I ask God to bless his soul and have him rest in peace. So dear posters, please forgive those that have hurt you, don’t hold grudges, you will never find peace within yourselves unless you learn to forgive.

This certainly has deep meaning for each one of us and I am grateful for all of the comments here today. Life would be so empty without OUR HEAVENLY FATHER. Take time to reach out to others. always be ready to say you are sorry and ask for forgiveness. Always be ready to forgive others and forget about the situation. Holdding bad feelings toward others, only brings unhappiness.

Never fail to express gratitude, when such is due.
Feeling grateful and not expressing it ,
is like wrapping a present and not giving it…..

Sometimes when I am in a conversation with someone I jokingly tell them about the
embarrassing things I have done, it makes me human and they laugh with me and
say that it has happened to them also. We then have a friendly, cheerful time.
Laughter is bonding… They think no less of me, in fact, we become closer.
Blessings… Elizabeth W.

If only we will understand that that little words ” i ‘m sorry” is the universal neutralizer, things would have long been better under the sun. GOD WILL HELP US.

ALWAYS…always…say and end a conversation with your loved ones with “I LOVE YOU”… Sometimes it is great when a long time friend says it to you and vise versa.
Even when we have a “spat”, I still say “I love you anyway.” It makes us feel better and sometimes we have a laugh. Blessings…
