When Love Becomes an Instinct
Remembering 60 years back is hard for anyone, but for Melvyn Amrine it’s especially challenging. Melvyn was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s three years ago. For his wife, Doris, it’s been hard to watch. But she says something happened recently to remind her that the man she fell in love with is still here. Real Life Momento.

That really touched my heart and brought tears of joy to my eyes. What a blessing that those two Police Officers were so understanding and even stopped for him to get roses for his loving wife for Mothers Day.. Certainly did bring back loving memories for this elderly lady of 94 years. My loving husband went home to JESUS CHRIST over 33 years ago. He wasn’t a flower man, but bought me chocolates. May GODS Angels continue to watch over all of you forever, is my prayer.

Well here I am for the second time and this truly is a beautiful message and I know that elderly gentleman was very happy to have the help of those police officers. What a grand thing they did for him. May GODS angels continue to watch over all of you forever, is my prayer.

I feel like Jane. This beautiful inspiring message brought tears to my eyes and peace to my heart. I pray that the things that they are discovering now, may be the answer to a cure for this disease in the near future. I live in a board and care home. I experienced living here with a lady that had this disease and she lived to be 100 years of age. Her name was Rose and she was very alert with numbers and even played Bingo with us other three ladies. She and I became very close in friendship and I visited with her during the daytime in the living room here at Patchwork Quilt Guest Home, which is a very appropriate name for us old ladies. Nethugs thank you for this loving message.

This beauitiful story brought tears to my eyes. We don’t really know what is in the heart of an alzheimer’s patient. I recently visited my sister in the nursing home where she resides with advanced stage of the disease. When I gave her the Mother’s Day card I had brought her and read it to her I was over joyed at how happy she seemed as she continued to point at the two young girls walking hand in hand hold a gift bag. I told her it was her and me going shopping. At times there is a trigger to their heart which brings them joy. It is sad that there is no cure for this devasting disease which robs the patient of their memory and ability to put their thoughts into words. Bod bless them all where ever they are. Thanks for sharing this beautiful story. It brought tears to my eyes. 🙂 Jane
