Never Before Seen Color Photos from D-Day Landings in Normandy
This famous capture of the first American soldiers (E Company of the 16th)to attack the German defenses in Higgins Boats was shot by Chief Photographer’s Mate (CPHOM) Robert F. Sargent of the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and has been colorized to appeal to our pathos, but the rest of the images were taken in a color, a rarity during that time. What did you think?
